When you report to Ugly Mugs you can choose "Exploitation" as one of the incident types.


What is Exploitation?


Exploitation is the act of treating someone unfairly in order to benefit from their work. Many forms of exploitation are criminal offences. Exploitation can range from relatively minor incidents to very serious crimes. Exploitation may be accompanied with other actions, like coercion, deception, threats, force and assaults.


Examples of Exploitation commonly reported to Ugly Mugs include:


  • Abuses by managers or employers or landlords or anyone with power over you
  • Human trafficking, also known as modern slavery


This is not an exhaustive list of the types of exploitation that exist.


Exploitation incidents are considered medium level incidents on Ugly Mugs.
