GOSHH (Gender Orientation Sexual Health HIV), formerly The Red Ribbon Project, is a long-established sex worker friendly support service in Limerick. Many sex workers recommend GOSHH and especially Billie at GOSHH as being very kind and helpful and offering excellent support for sex workers.
All of the services GOSHH provide are completely confidential. They offer support for sex workers in a non-judgemental environment. They recognise sex worker rights. They do not require that a person exit sex work in order to avail of their services. They have a dedicated support worker for sex workers.
Sexual health services provided by GOSHH include sexual health information, rapid HIV testing and connecting you with the local STI clinic. They can also provide condoms (50 for €10) and lube. Female condoms, beppy, house dams and gloves available at certain times also.
GOSHH offers free counselling for sex workers.
GOSHH is a person centred project, so they offer whatever support the person needs. If they do not have the skills on site they will support you by finding the right (sex worker friendly) person within another organisation to refer you to, or they will up skill themselves.
GOSHH services for sex workers change as they gain knowledge of what is needed. Other services offered by GOSHH that may be of interest to sex workers include safety advice and help reporting a crime. GOSHH can refer to sex worker friendly addiction, domestic violence, sexual violence and housing agencies.
GOSHH provide personal support. This means that you can access their designated support workers and ask for information or support on any issue.
We provide detailed information and up to date contact details and opening hours for GOSHH within our Support Services directory (only available to logged in members). You can also visit the GOSHH website at http://goshh.ie.
